Recently I was praying God reveal Himself supernaturally and miraculously to a soul I felt could use a little proof of His existence. This will, of course, be entirely up to God, as to whether or not He chooses to unveil Himself in this way. While to me evidence of our Father is all around me, it is quite the jolt, pick-me-up and inspired moment to see Him in some supernaturally miraculous way. To me it is a sweet gift of His grace to see a miracle in action.
At the beginning of this engagement journey with Ayla and Rob, we wondered how in the name of Jesus we were going to pay for this wedding. A wedding is an expensive endeavor, and one typically doesn't have thousands of dollars shoved under the mattress saved for a party. All of us wondered where the money would come from. My constant response when Ayla would pose that question was, "Let's just give it to God. Tell Him what you want and let Him reveal if and how it will be accomplished for His glory." Daddy and I have been faithful to pray that.
We have already seen the miracles happen. Gifts of different elements of the wedding from friends and family and blessings from our Father financially in surprising moments. We know we have a long way to go before this wedding comes together, but we know what does happen will be just as God ordained and fully for His glory. I look forward to one day sharing the testimony of this wedding to every engaged couple who ponders, "How will we pay for this?" As long as they remember what the wedding is about and to Whom it is truly for, God will work in it. It is in our weaknesses that God shows off. And we certainly want folks to see that.
It is our hope that you will face every obstacle and challenge in your relationship with that same hope and confidence in God. And there will be many, so be ready. We are told to "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you." Matthew 11:28-29 says, "
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you
rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Phil 4:19 says, "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs
from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."
Our God is an awesome, loving, caring, compassionate, all-powerful God. Remember always Who is in charge. Remember always Who it is that can accomplish the impossible (Matthew 19:26, Luke 1:37). And always remember Who should receive all the praise and glory. Rest in the arms of your Lord. He's got this.
Discussion: Is there anything your life that you currently have anxiety over? What "impossible" task can you place in the hands of God? What miracles have you seen lately of our Almighty Father?
Prayer: Lord, we praise Your name! We exalt You! We want the world to know of what You have done! Father, let your Holy Spirit continue to whisper in our ears, "Have you seen what the Lord has done today?" and that we share it with those around us. In Christ we pray, Amen.
