Wedding Walk Socks

Rob loves fun socks. Loves them. Which makes it easy to get him birthday and Christmas presents. For this year's birthday he got some fireworks socks and fluorescent yellow and grey socks from us. It's a way for guys to add a little pizzazz to their business wear, plus it's fun. And you can find fun socks just about everywhere.

It's also something grooms and groomsmen are doing for weddings. With so much formality in tuxes, it's fun to through in a pop of whimsy or color for the wedding. And they can make for a pretty fun groomsmen photo at the wedding. There are even some fun socks for the groom which say things like:
"In case you get cold feet!"
"I'm her mister. Can't wait to kiss her."
"Always & Forever."
"Soul mates."
"Aisle be there."
"Happily Ever After."
"By your side every step of the way."
"I will love you forever."
"Of all our walks, this is my favorite."
Or have the wedding date on them.
There are even places to custom make groom's socks like at www.sockexpert.com or www.sockprints.com. As for patterns, there are so many choose from like argyle, spots, stripes, superheros, food and cartoons. You can also get super bright solids.

Or how about putting a Bible verse on the socks, like:
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." 3 John 1:4
"I will also walk among you and be your God and you will be my people." Leviticus 26:12
"Walk in the way which I have commanded you and it will go well with you." Jeremiah 7:23
"Walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8 (one of Daddy's favorites)
"Walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light." 1 John 1:7
"I will walk in your truth." Psalm 86:11
"We walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7
"Walk in love." Ephesians 5:2
"Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord." Colossians 1:10
So feel free to experiment and have fun! It lets the groom's personality shine through!

Discussion: What do you think about fun socks for the groom? What would be the perfect groom's sock style? What about for the groomsmen?

Prayer: Father, we thank you that our feet follow your path, and we thank you for that precious aisle walk post-wedding when these marriage couples take their first steps as husband and wife. We pray we always walk in your ways. In Jesus name, Amen.
